Vietling is made by Ben Ewert. This page explains how to delete a Vietling account and everything attached to it, and exactly what that erases.
Tap your profile at the top of Home, then Account, data & credits → Account → Delete my account. It happens immediately, and there is no grace period and no soft delete. Afterwards the app stops creating accounts by itself and sends nothing to our server, unless you choose to create an account or log in again.
If you have already removed Vietling and want the account gone, email ben@benewert.com asking for deletion. So we can find the right account, include:
Most accounts have no email address, so for those this is how we tell yours from someone else’s; if we cannot match it with confidence we will say so rather than guess. It is one person reading, so allow a couple of days for a reply; the deletion itself is done within 30 days of the request, and normally the same week.
All of it hangs off one database row and is removed with it. Nothing is retained afterwards for analytics or advertising, because none is collected in the first place.
The copy on your own device. Deleting your account is a request about the account, so it deliberately does not reach into the phone in your hand and wipe your progress there. To erase that too, use Account, data & credits → Reset all progress, or delete the app.
Deleted rows can persist in our database provider's routine encrypted backups for a short period before those expire. They are never read or restored except to recover the service from failure.
